First Time at the Naturist Village

THE SENSES JOURNAL · BEFORE YOU ARRIVE

Visiting the Naturist Village for the first time? Don’t worry, we’ve all been there.

To help you make the most of your first visit, we’ve put together a few things we wish we’d known.

The village culture

There isn’t one “right” way to experience Cap d’Agde.

Some guests spend their days at the beach and enjoy quiet evenings. Others prefer relaxing during the day before heading out to experience the village’s famous nightlife.

And many proudly do both.

The Naturist Village is home to both naturist and libertine communities. Whether you’re here for one, the other, both or simply out of curiosity, the same principle applies to everyone:

Respect always comes first.

Respect for other guests, their boundaries, their choices and the spaces you share.

Restaurants & nightlife

1. Bring a towel

In naturist environments, it’s common to sit on your own towel when using shared seating. It’s a simple gesture of hygiene and respect that’s appreciated throughout the village.

2. After sunset…

Many restaurants, bars and clubs embrace the village’s libertine spirit, and guests often enjoy dressing for the occasion.

Many women take the opportunity to wear outfits they might not wear anywhere else. Men usually go for long trousers paired with a shirt or smart polo, but you’ll also see some creative and daring looks too (and they’re often the best ones)!

You don’t have to dress up everywhere, but packing a few outfits that make you feel your best self is always a good idea. There are also plenty of shops in the village where you can buy clothes if needed.

SENSES EXPLORERS TIP

Unsure what you’re up for? Bring your favourite evening pieces. It’s much nicer to have the option than to regret not packing them. Women may also want to bring heels, especially for clubs. Of course, you can always treat yourself to something new in one of the village’s many stores.
