THE SENSES JOURNAL · BEFORE YOU ARRIVE

Cap d’Agde welcomes people from all backgrounds, relationship styles and identities.
Your experience may vary slightly depending on who you’re travelling with, so here’s what to expect.
Travelling solo as a woman
We haven’t personally met many women visiting completely on their own, but they’re welcome. Some clubs offer reduced admission prices for women. As with any visitor, access depends on the venue and event.
Travelling solo as a man
Contrary to what many people say, we believe solo male travellers can have a fantastic time in the Village.
However, some bars, clubs and events have specific entry policies for solo men. Admission fees may be higher, and access to certain events or areas within some clubs may be restricted.
Visiting as a couple
Couples generally enjoy broad flexibility throughout the Village. Many venues offer a couple admission rate, although entry conditions still depend on the venue, event and how each establishment defines that category.
Visiting as a throuple
Many bars and clubs also welcome throuples — for example, two men and one woman, or two women and one man. Admission policies and pricing vary, so we recommend checking in advance.
LGBTQ+ visitors
You’ll find dedicated LGBTQ+ bars, beach areas and clubs, as well as mixed environments. Each space has its own atmosphere and admission policies, so checking ahead can help you find the experience that feels right for you.
A little planning makes room for more freedom.
Before planning an evening around a particular venue, check its admission conditions, prices and dress code for the event you’d like to attend.
